FORD FIGO

This review is about the MUSTANG manufacture’s second new launch in India in this fiscal. And is the second machine from Ford’s new SANAND plant in GUJARAT. That is the new “FORD FIGO” second gen.

Which is packed with lot more like three different engine gearbox combination, two airbags are standard and top variant get six air bags which is segment first. This makes the new FIGO stand apart from the competition.

The ASTON MARTIN inspired front grill makes the car look impressive and new body style gives a fresh look.

FIGO comes with two engine options which are 1.5 liter diesel & 1.2 liter petrol with an option of 5speed manual and 6speed dual clutch automatic( automatic is for 1.5TDCI diesel variant only ). Their performance are better in all conditions and diesel provide an efficient fuel economy of 25.23 KMPL and for petrol it is 18.16 KMPL (Both values by ford officially)

For a hatch it has a decent boot space & the interior are finished good with black, but not too impressive compare to its sibling FIGO ASPIRE which is finished with dual tone colors. The top variant gets a digital layout and SYNC infotainment system, i.e. impressive!

The fluidic curve design and world class ergonomics provide the feeling of true ford. There is a little lag in steering but that may be solved in next facelift, overall NEW FIGO is a good option and best package with class leading features. The price starts at rupees 4.38 lakh for petrol and the diesel starting price is 5.29lakh ends with 7.40 lakh (top end variant)

Verdict:New FIGO is stand apart from competition due to its features to price point and MOTO FURIOUS salute ford for safety as a first preference in their upcoming cars. This shows that soon ford will get higher numbers in sales.
